UK: Goods Trade deficit narrows to £-7.717B in December

FXStreet (Barcelona) - UK Goods Trade deficit narrowed to £-7.717 billion in December from £-9.783 billion in November, according to data released today by National Statistics. Analysts expected the deficit to narrow only to £-9.300 billion.

Total Trade deficit narrowed to £-1.026 billion in December from £-3.582 billion in November.

UK Trade deficit non-EU narrowed to £-2.198 billion from £-3.100 billion and above expectations of narrowing to £-3.048 billion.

UK: Annual Industrial Production up 1.8% in December

Year-over-year UK Industrial Production grew by 1.8% in December, following a 2.1% increase in November, National Statistics informed on Friday. Analysts forecasted a 2.3% rise. On a monthly basis UK Industrial Production rose by 0.4%, after remaining flat and below expectations of +0.6%.
