US stocks flat ahead of FOMC minutes
FXStreet (Córdoba) - US equities started in negative territory but then managed to erase losses while European markets finished slightly lower. Among country indexes the FTSE 100 lost 0.36% while the Dax declined 0.21%. In Wall Street, the Dow Jones was rising 0.17% while the Nasdaq was up 0.03%.
Markets were expecting the release of the FOMC minutes that will be published at 18:00 GMT. The US dollar pulled back across the board during the American session but still headed toward the highest close in months versus the Euro, the Swiss Fracn, the Kiwi and the Yen among other currencies.
Gold was falling modestly trading around $,1295/oz while crude oil was recovering, rising more than 0.50% with the barrel trading above $95.
