NZD/USD falls to fresh 3-week lows amid risk aversion

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The US dollar strengthened against the Kiwi and the Aussie during the last hour of trading in Wall Street amid risk aversion. The NZD/USD failed to hold above 0.8700 and turned to the downside.

Recently the pair printed a fresh 3-week low at 0.8673 and remains near daily lows, under pressure as stocks in the US dropped more than 1%, on the worst day in three months.

The plane crash in Ukraine and Israel’s military operation in Gaza triggered a decline in stocks and boosted the Yen across the board.

The NZD/USD is about to post the sixth daily decline in a row and continues to move further away from the 0.8800 area.

USD/JPY coning clearly bearish

Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXStreet explained that the USD/JPY extends its slide early Asian session, testing 101.20 strong static support level and with a clear bearish bias in its intraday charts.
