USD/CAD rises to 3-week highs
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The US dollar is surging across the board as Janet Yellen testifies in Congress. The USD/CAD broke above 1.0740 and jumped to 1.0762, reaching the highest price since June 20.
Currently trades at 1.0750, up 0.40% for the day so far, headed toward the highest daily close in three weeks. In the last hour the pair rose from 1.0720, climbing 40 pips in a few minutes.
Greenback is recovering after finding support at the beginning of the month around 1.0620 (6-month lows) and is making a bullish correction after falling more than 600 pips over the last four months.
