Fed's Yellen: Economy improving but recovery incomplete
FXStreet (Łódź) - Speaking before the US Senate Banking Committee Fed chair Yellen stresses that economic recovery is not complete yet and that significant support from the central bank remains necessary.
• Too many Americans are still unemployed, while the level of inflation continues below target.
• Labor force participation rate remains weaker than expected, Yellen points out.
• The Fed is also concerned about the US housing recovery–which began to slow down last year and wasn't able to regain much traction so far.
• US growth should continue at moderate pace.
