WHO's Ryan: Coronavirus has demonstrated no seasonal pattern so far

COVID-19 has demonstrated no seasonal pattern so far and it will bounce back if the pressure is taken off, Dr Mike Ryan, head of the World Health Organization's emergencies programme, said on Monday.

"Countries in western Europe and elsewhere now need to see how fast they can respond to flare-ups of COVID-19," Ryan added. "This virus is proving exceptionally difficult to stop."
