Fed's Kaplan: Worried about ability of workforce to adapt to post-coronavirus economy

Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Robert Kaplan said on Thursday that he is worried about the ability of the workforce to adapt to the post-coronavirus economy, especially those with lower levels of education.

"The corporate debt has been an amplifier in the crisis and I'm worried about government debt," Kaplan added. Regarding the economic outlook, Kaplan said he expects a sharp contraction of more than 30% in the GDP in the second quarter.

The US Dollar Index largely ignored these comments and was last seen gaining 0.13% on the day at 97.35.
