US: PCE (May) rose 1.8% YoY

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The US Commerce Department informed that the US inflation, gauged by the Personal Consumption Expenditure, rose 1.8% YoY during May, surpassing April’s 1.6%. On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.2%. The Core reading rose 1.5% over the last twelve months and 0.2% inter-month. Personal Income expanded 0.4% on a monthly basis while Personal Spending rose 0.2%.

USD/JPY largely unchanged after US data

The USD/JPY edged lower following the latest series of US data, although trading remained largely directionless.
