AUD/USD reaches 3-week highs

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The Australian dollar reached a fresh 3-week high versus the greenback and is among the best performers Monday, supported by a positive market sentiment as stocks and gold edge higher.

Despite a pullback seen following the US nonfarm payrolls Friday, the AUD/USD managed to hold above the 0.9300 area and resumed the upside on Monday, climbing to its highest level in over 3 weeks at 0.9362. The AUD/USD however, lost momentum and entered a consolidation phase near highs and it is currently trading at 0.9357, up 0.23% on the day.

AUD/USD levels to watch

In terms of technical levels, the AUD/USD could find next resistances at 0.9362 (Jun 9 high), 0.9373 (May 19 high) and 0.9400 (psychological level). On the downside, supports are now seen at 0.9333 (Jun 9 low), 0.9318 (Jun 6 low) and 0.9300 (psychological level).
