US: Nonfarm payrolls rose 263K in April vs 185K expected

The closely-watched jobs report published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday showed that nonfarm employment in April increased by 263,000 in April to beat the market expectation of 185,000 by a wide margin. With the initial market reaction, the US Dollar Index advanced to its highest level of the week at 98.10.
