Brexit: Dominic Raab continues opposing May's deal, GBP/USD struggles at the lows

Former Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab has broken his silence, and he remains opposed to the Brexit deal. He called on renegotiating the Withdrawal Agreement or leaving without a deal on April 12th.

His former boss PM Theresa May announced she would resign after the deal passes, and this was enough to convince some members to support the accord.

However, a group of hardliners within the Conservative Party remain opposed. Also, the Northern Irish DUP reiterated its position that the agreement risks the unity of the United Kingdom.

Raab is an influential Member of Parliament and a candidate to replace May. His ongoing objection makes the passage of the accord less likely.

GBP/USD continues struggling on low ground at the lower 1.3100s. Support is seen at 1.3080 and 1.3005. Resistance is at 1.3205.

On Wednesday, Parliament rejected eight alternative Brexit solutions in a series of indicative, non-binding votes.
