US economy heading for more substantial slowdown - Societe Generale

With Trump inspired fiscal impulse starting to wane, the US economy could be headed for a more substantial slowdown in 2020, Michala Marcussen, group chief economist at Societe Generale, said on Thursday while speaking to Bloomberg. 

Marcussen cited a potential deeper slowdown in the US economy as a headwind to Eurozone growth.

A number of factors like auto sector slowdown, Brexit uncertainty, and global trade uncertainty are weighing on the Eurozone economy. 

Easy monetary policy alone cannot address structural issues in Europe and Japan.
