NZD/USD dumps 50 pips on Wheelers speech

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is trading at 0.8709, down -0.35% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8745 and low at 0.8699.

NZD/USD has dumped to threaten the 0.87 handle as traders take note of the RBNZ warnings around a strong bird and their intent to intervene if necessary. In the governors speech, said that the NZ dollar continues to be overvalued, adding that the level is not sustainable.

Spot is presently trading at 0.8712, and next resistance can be seen at 0.8716 (YTD High), 0.8735 (Daily Classic R3), 0.8737 (Hourly 20 EMA), 0.8740 (Daily Open) and 0.8741 (Monthly High). Support below can be found at 0.8711 (Daily Classic R2), 0.8707 (Weekly Classic R1), 0.8699 (Daily Low), 0.8695 (Daily Classic R1) and 0.8676 (Yesterday's Low).

NZ jobs should remain solid - BNZ

According to BNZ Economists, with New Zealand's labour market pointing towards a further decline in the unemployment rate, Wednesday's jobs release, while not expected to be a spectacular one, should remain solid.
