Australia: Mixed economic releases - TDS
Analysts at TD Securities note that the Australian retail sales was soft at +0.1%/m (mkt: 0.3%) while trade balance was more in line with their expectations at A$4.55b (mkt: A$2.75b).

“Retail data is all over the place: food +0.3%, cafes, restaurants +0.3%, which were offset by falls in department stores (-2.1%), and clothing, footwear (-0.3%). Household goods were flat. It is important to note that this report excludes health, education, communication, transport rent and utilities.”
