EC spokesman: No solution has been found so far on N.Ireland backstop

A spokesman for the European Commission recently crossed the wires saying that the EU's Chief Brexit Negotiator Michel Barnier told the Commission that they haven't been able to find a solution to the Irish backstop issue in Tuesday's talks and echoed comments from the UK about negotiations being difficult.
