AUD/NZD falls to 1.0730, 4-week low

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/NZD lost ground for the second day in a row, finished hovering around 1.0735/40 and posted the lowest daily close in a month. During Thursday’s American session the pair dropped to 1.0730 reaching the lowest price in four weeks.

The New Zealand dollar was among the best performers on Thursday pushing the AUD/NZD further to the downside. The Aussie lost momentum last week after being unable to hold above 1.0900.

Levels for the AUD/NZD

Immediate resistance to the upside could be located at 1.0750, 1.0790 (May 1 high) and above at 1.0830 (April 29 low). To the downside support levels might lie at 1.0730 (May 1 low), 1.0695 and 1.0640/45 (March 27, 28 low).

China not yet at a turning point - Nomura

On the back of a slight miss in the official Chinese PMI on Thursday, up seasonally to 50.4 in April from 50.5 expected and 50.3 in March, Nomura Economists believe the economy is not yet at a turning point.
