JPY futures: upside momentum exhausted?

CME Group’s flash data for JPY futures markets showed open interest rose by around 4.4K contracts on Friday vs. Thursday’s final 219,549 contracts. On the other hand, volume decreased considerably by more than 101.2 contracts.

USD/JPY potential consolidation ahead

USD/JPY has clinched tops around 112.00 the figure and beyond on Friday. The uptick in open interest allows for a continuation of the up move, although the sharp pullback in volume hints at a probable slowdown of its pace in the near term.
