Germany's foreign minister Maas: A hard Brexit is not off the table yet

German foreign minister Heiko Maas was out on the wires in the last hour, commenting on the recent hot topics - the US tariffs threat and Brexit.

On US tariffs:

   •  Expects the US to revoke threatened tariffs.
   •  Also expects the US to stop threatening the European auto industry.
   •  Says China's state capitalism is increasingly jeopardizing fair global trade.

On Brexit:

   •  There must be no hard border with Ireland.
   •  Must prepare for every possible scenario.
   •  If can agree on the Irish border issue, then can also solve all other open questions.
