Japan’s Ex-Currency Chief: No major changes in BoJ monetary policy likely today

In an interview with Bloomberg, a former Vice Minister of Finance of Japan, Tatsuo Yamasaki, noted the following comments on the BOJ and the Yen.

No major changes in monetary policy likely today.

There shouldn't be too much impact on the yen.

The yen is in line with economic fundamentals, not much upward or downward pressure on it now.

"It's possible they'll revise their price outlook downward." 

"However, it's extremely hard for me to imagine they'll change monetary policy."
