UK: Retail Price Index drops 0.3% in January

FXStreet (Barcelona) - The UK Retail Price Index slid 0.3% in January, compared with the 0.5% rise registered the previous month, National Statistics reported on Tuesday. Analysts expected the indicator to fall 0.4%.

On an annual basis the UK Retail Price Index grew 2.8%, slightly up from the 2.7% increase and almost in line with consensus of +2.7%.

UK: Annual PPI – Output rises 0.9% in January

On an annual basis UK PPI – Output n.s.a. grew 0.9% in January, following a 1% increase the previous month, National Statistics reported today. Analysts expected less growth of 0.7%.
