RBNZ to remain on-hold this week – Reuters Poll

According to the latest Reuters poll of New Zealand analysts/economists on the RBNZ monetary policy decision due to be announced this week, the RBNZ is expected to leave the interest rates unchanged.

Key findings:

All 21 expect the bank leaving the cash rate on hold (currently 1.75%)

9 forecast a rate hike by the second quarter of 2018

1 forecasts a cut in Q3 2018
