Japan CPI to peak at 0.8% in Q4 2017 – Bloomberg

An article put out by Bloomberg this Wednesday morning in Asia says the Japanese inflation will most likely peak in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Barclays Plc. expects the CPI to peak at 0.8% in September. Citigroup Inc. says the CPI will stya at 0.7% from September to November and then start “renewed moderation”.

This is bad news for the Japanese Yen as low inflation means low odds of BOJ backing off from the policy accommodation.
