USD/CAD consolidates below 1.1000

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The USD/CAD trades marginally lower on the day supported by positive sentiment in financial markets, having spent most of the day in a slim range below 1.1000.

In the absence of major events in US or Canada, the USD/CAD lost the 1.1000 mark and bottomed out at 1.0975 at the beginning of the American session to finally settle around 1.0990, where it records a 0.2% loss on the day.

USD/CAD levels to watch

In terms of technical levels, the USD/CAD could find immediate supports at 1.0975 (Feb 12 low), 1.0967 (Feb 7 low). On the other hand, resistances could be faced at 1.1010 (Feb 12 high) and 1.1055 (21-day SMA).

AUD/USD meets heavy supply

There has been some debate as to whether the Aussie is making a bottom here and with the current run up to test the 0.90 handle out, the pair is starting to meet some supply in the higher end on 0.90 at 0.9070 the high on a stronger dollar.
