Germany: Trade surplus narrows to €18.5B in December
FXStreet (Barcelona) - German Trade surplus narrowed to €18.5 billion in December from €18.9 billion in November, according to data released today by Destatis. Analysts expected the surplus to narrow to €17.3 billion.
German Current Account surplus widened to €23.5 billion in December, from €21.6 billion in November.
German Exports decreased 0.9%, in comparison with the 0.7% growth, against market consensus of -0.8%. German Imports declined 0.6%, up from the 2.3% fall and against forecasts of a 1.2% rise.
