BoE to have 8 MPC members at tomorrow's meeting
Charlotte Hogg, the BOE's Deputy Governor for Markets and Banking, stepped down from her role at the end of April, leaving the MPC with eight members at tomorrow's meeting. In the event of a tie vote, BoE Governor Carney will get the final say. With the looming election, it's unlikely that a new member will be appointed anytime soon.
On February 28, Hogg misled the Treasury select committee over whether she had filed the correct disclosure forms relating to her brother, who is working for Barclays. Following that event, she announced her official resignation on March 14.
