China aggregate trade balance (Yuan terms): Both import and exports rise in Q1

China Customs is out with the aggregate trade balance data for Q1, as we await the March trade figures.

Key Details:

China's exports denominated in yuan rose 14.8% in the first quarter from the same period a year earlier

Yuan-denominated imports rose 31.1% y/y in the first quarter

Q1 trade surplus of 454.94 billion yuan
