White House to back away from letter that suggest a "softer" NAFTA stance - BBG

According to Bloomberg, the White House is reported to back away from a letter suggesting that it’s softening stance on his protectionist stance on NAFTA. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated in his daily briefing that the draft “doesn’t reflect” Donald Trump’s goals for the talks.

Earlier, US Commerce Secretary's Ross noted that he hopes to trigger 90-day NAFTA consultation period before spring congressional recess. "TPP provisions that Mexico and Canada agreed to should be kept in NAFTA revamp, should be pushed further", Ross added.
