EMU: Annual CPI up 0.8% in December

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to data released today by Eurostat, Eurozone annual inflation grew 0.8% in December, slightly down from the 0.9% increase registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis CPI climbed 0.3%, compared with the 0.1% drop, as expected.

Year-over-year CPI - Core grew 0.7% in December, down from 0.9% in November.

EUR/USD retests daily highs

Following a quick dip below 1.3600, the EUR/USD managed to bounce from lows and rose back to retest daily highs in the aftermath of German and European CPI.
