BoJ qualitative-quantitative policy to stay, Kuroda says
FXstreet.com (Bali) - BoJ Governor Kuroda has crossed the wires saying they will maintain qualitative-quantitative policy, in a speech that marks the start of the branch managers meeting.
Kuroda added that the current monetary policy is here to stay until a sustained 2% CPI target is reached. Kuroda also said there has been a steady progress and that such trend should become more obvious.
With regards to the economy, the usual line "recovering moderately" was mentioned, while on inflation, Kuroda said "trend certainly up, being felt by consumers nationwide; may be safe to say deflation finally defeated."
