UK economic confidence has collapsed – Gfk
Gfk analyst Joe Staton says, “confidence in the general economic situation for the UK has collapsed in the face of uncertainty about the future both at home and abroad”.
Expectations for the next year are now at the weakest since post-Brexit. Furthermore, wages look unlikely to keep up with the rising inflation. This means domestic demand (spending) could take hit in 2017.
