After a choppy day as US stocks struggled to hold at record-highs and turned negative ahead of FOMC minutes, Wall Street in fact pulled off yet another record high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both finished the day at record highs for a third consecutive session. The S&P 500 gained 1.72 points, or just less than 0.1%, to finish at 2,204.66 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average put up another 59.31 points, or 0.3%, to 19,083.18. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite finished the session with a gain of 5.67 points, or 0.1%, to close at 5,380.68. The Russell 2000 index also rose for a 14th straight session by 6.16 points, or 0.5%, to close at 1,340.50.

Trading volume was thinner today due to investors heading into the Thanksgiving Holidays, but the focus before the day was out was with the FOMC minutes and positive US key data.
