Wall Street: mixed on bizarre decoupling intermarket

Wall Street was a mixed close with just the Dow in the green by the end of play boosted by a huge gain in Boeing of 4.7%.

The U.S. session was mixed, and quite bizarre decoupling taking place intermarket that gave us a U-turn in WTI oil, Apple sinking down by over 2.2% and despite US 10yr treasury yields rose from 1.74% to 1.80%, the dollar actually slipped.

The Dow industrials ws in the green despite  the slide in Apple Inc., rising by 30.06 points, or 0.2%, to finish at 18,199.33, propelled by the turbines of Boeing Co. The S&P 500 Index finished in the red and down 3.73 points, or 0.2%, at 2,139.43, the back of telecoms and health care  and real estate weighing. finally, the last of the three benchmarks, The Nasdaq Composite index also dropped by 33.13 points, or 0.6%, to close at 5,250.27. Apple shares dropped on quarterly revenue results missing expectations on Wall Street.
