USD/MXN: Mexican Peso strengthens, Clinton winning again?

The Mexican currency continues to strengthen against its American counterpart as the US election debate Round 2 gets underway, sending USD/MXN below 19 handle.

The USD/MXN now drops -1.60% at 18.98, recovering slightly from four-week lows of 18.90. A rising Mexican Peso suggests that falling odds of Donald Trump winning the second round of the US election debate against Hillary Clinton.

The Mexican currency was higher leading into the debate as markets once again priced-in a Clinton win after weekend’s vulgar comments on women by Trump.
