German Cabinet to approve €6.3 billion tax cuts - Handelsblatt

On Thursday, the German daily, Handelsblatt, ran a story on the German government’s promised tax cuts of €6.3 billion a year.

The German newspaper reports, “Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble has clinched a deal to cut taxes, just in time for Germany’s federal election campaign in 2017.

 It is the biggest cut since Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble took office seven years ago, but the savings will only allow most middle income households to buy two extra coffees a month, the daily noted.
