AUD/USD: drops to lowest lows in a week and eyes 0.7600 - FXStreet

Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXStreet explained that the dollar's broad strength and continued gold weakness hit the Australian dollar, resulting in the AUD/USD pair sliding down to 0.7592 daily basis, its lowest for the week.

"In fact, the pair flirted with the 0.7600 level also during the past Asian session, although it bounced back sharply from the key support, indicating that the market is not ready to sell the Aussie.

During the upcoming Asian session, Australia will release  its August trade balance figures, expected to show a small decrease in the country's deficit, which may help the Aussie further."
