Japan’s Suga – working with fiscal stimulus

A day after Bank of Japan’s (BOJ) Kuroda dashed hopes of helicopter money, Japan’s chief cabinet secretary Suga was on the wires informing markets that fiscal authorities are working on stimulus.

Japan is under pressure to deliver fiscal stimulus after major central banks across the globe are calling for more government effort after having shouldered the responsibility of supporting economic growth since 2008 crisis.
