EUR/USD keeps gains above 1.1400
The softer tone in the US dollar continues to sustain the daily upside in EUR/USD, now returning to the 1.1430 area after brief tops near 1.1480.
EUR/USD capped by 1.1480
The pair could not sustain the post-Payrolls bullish attempt to the 1.1480 area, deflating soon afterwards to the current 1.1425/20 band albeit keeping intact its bullish bias.
Looking at the wider picture, spot is advancing after three consecutive sessions with losses, coming down from fresh 2016 tops at 1.1615 although meeting quite decent support in the 1.1400 neighbourhood.
EUR/USD levels to watch
The pair is now up 0.13 at 1.1420 and a break above 1.1615 (2016 high May 3) would open the door to 1.1713 (high Aug.24 2015) and finally 1.2110 (2015 high Jan.2). On the other hand, the immediate support lines up at 1.1386 (low May 5) followed by 1.1357 (20-day sma) and finally 1.1213 (low Apr.25).
