China trade data (USD terms): Surplus shrinks, Exports & imports improve

The Chinese trade balance for March in US dollar terms stood at USD29.86bn versus $34.95bn surplus expected, prior 32.59bn.

Exports jumped +11.5% y/y versus +10.0% y/y expected after a prior of -25.4%, while imports dropped -7.6% against expectations of -10.1% y/y, prior -13.8%.
