US ADP beats estimates but carried a downward revision to Feb figure

The ADP report released today showed the US private sector employment growth in March was slightly better than expected.

The figure came-in at 200K, beating the estimate of 194K. However, the previous month’s print was revised lower to 205K from the previous estimate of 214K.

The details revealed small business added 86K jobs along with 75K and 39K jobs additions by midsized and large firms. Goods-producing sector added 9K jobs, while service-sector added 191K jobs.
