Wall Street off all-time highs and closes mostly lower

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US major indexes climbed to all-time highs in the US opening bell, however after investor Carl Icahn said he is "very cautious on equities, market could easily have a big drop," stocks declined hard and closed at daily lows.

The Dow traded above 16,000 and the S&P 500 above 1,800 for first time. The Nasdaq Composite reached 13-year highs at 3,994.97, just shy of 4,000 points milestone.

The Dow Jones managed to recover some ground and close at greens with 14.32 points or 0.09% of daily gains to finish the day at 15,976.02. The S&P retraced from all-time highs at 1,802.33 and declined 6.65 pts or 0.37% in the day to close the day at 1,791.53.

The Nasdaq Composite declined 36.90 pts or 0.93% to wrap up the session near lows at 3,949.07.

USD/JPY succumbs at closing; crashes below 100

USD/JPY succumbed to bearish pressure shortly after the closing of Wall Street printing 0.24% daily losses to discount from the +220 monthly pips gained so far.
