ECB's Mersch: 'We should look to the future with confidence'
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - ECB Governing Council member Yves Mersch assured that the Eurozone economy is on a stable road to recovery, even though growth in the area slowed down to 0.1% in the third quarter of the year.
Speaking at the Euro Finance conference in Frankfurt Mersch expressed his belief that “the worst is behind us” and that the Eurozone has reasons to “look to the future with confidence.”
The ECB policy maker also said that government bonds are to be valued at “zero risk weight” in the Asset Quality Review.
