UK industrial production rises 0.3% in January

The UK Office for National Statistics data (ONS) released today showed industrial production in February bounced back from the 1.1% shrinkage in December.

Industrial production in the UK rose by 0.3% m/m in February, missing the estimated rise of 0.5%. Manufacturing, the largest component, rose 0.7% m/m, bettering the estimate of 0.2%. The annualized figure came-in at -0.1%, again bettering the estimated figure of -0.7%.
