EUR/USD surpassed previous daily highs at the 1.3530 zone and stretched to a peak of 1.3542 in recent dealings. Better sentiment has supported the EUR/USD Thursday with European stocks and US futures broadly higher on optimism over a budget deal in Washington DC. At time of writing, EUR/USD is trading at the 1.3535 zone, recording a 0.1% gain on the day.

EUR/USD levels to watch

If EUR/USD breaks above 1.3540, it would face next resistance at the 1.3555/60 zone, where the 100- and 200-hour SMA converge, and then at the 1.3600/06 zone (psychological level/Oct 8 & 9 highs). On the downside, supports are seen at 1.3485 (Oct 9 & 10 lows) ahead of 1.3470 (Sep 26 low).
