Switzerland: Annual inflation flat in August

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the the Swiss Federal Statistical Office, on an annual basis Swiss inflation was flat for the second consecutive month, as expected. Month-over-month Swiss CPI dropped 0.1% in August, up from the 0.4% decline in July and against forecasts of remaining unchanged.

Foreign currency deposits and bonds held by Swiss National Bank and monetary authorities decreased to CHF 434.2B in August, from 434.9B in July.

Switzerland: Industrial Production falls 1.1% in Q2

On a quarterly basis Swiss Industrial Production dropped 1.1% in Q2, compared with the 3.5% rise seen in Q1, Swiss Statistics informed today. Year-over-year Industrial Production fell 4.2%, after growing 0.5%.
