US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 323K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 9K last week to a seasonally adjusted 323K in the week ended August 30, below expectations at 330K and coming from 332K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 43K to a seasonally adjusted 2.951 million in the week ended August 24 vs. 2.994 million in the previous week (revised).
