FXStreet (Barcelona) - The BoJ left the monetary policy unchanged but some changes were introduced in the framework, notes the Research Team at TD Securities Team.
Key Quotes
“The BoJ kept monetary policy unchanged as expected, maintaining record stimulus at an annual pace of ¥80tn. Kuroda press conference is at 7.30am GMT.”
“An important change to the monetary policy framework announced today was the quarterly, not semi annual release of the ‘Outlook for Economic Activity and Prices’. This will include GDP and inflation forecasts made by each board member, not just the range and medians. Also the number of meetings will be cut from 14 to 8 per year with a summary of decisions released the following week.”
