EUR/USD stretches to fresh highs
FXStreet (Córdoba) - EUR/USD extended gains to a fresh 8-week high during the American afternoon as the surrenders ground versus majors peers amid month-end flows.
EUR/USD pierced through the 1.1250 resistance area and climbed to its highest level since early March at 1.1265 before finding sellers. At time of writing, the pair is trading at the 1.1230 zone, recording a 0.92% gain on the day.
Today, upbeat US employment data lifted the greenback but the move lacked follow through. EUR/USD is on track to post its sixth daily gain in a row.
EUR/USD levels to watch
On the upside, the 1.1300 psychological level and the 100-day SMA at 1.1312 are immediate targets. On the other hand, 1.1070 (daily low) and 1.1035 (Apr 6 high) stand as next supports.
