USD/JPY hits 119.90 and retreats
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/JPY rose further during the US session and peaked at 119.90, a fresh 1-week high. Afterwards pulled back modesty and dropped to 119.55. Currently trades at 119.60/65, up 0.50% for the day, the best performance in three weeks.
USD/JPY reverses and remains sideways
During the Asian session the pair bottomed at 118.49, a 1-month low and then soared, rising more than a hundred pips from the lows, erasing weekly losses.
The recovery brought the price above the daily 20-SMA. But USD/JPY continues to move sideways in the short term, with support above 118.50 and resistance below 120.00 and at 120.50.
During April the pair moved between 118.48 (Apr 30 low) and 120.83 (Apr 13 high) and is about to end marginally lower.
