Possibilities of Grexident Unlikely – Euro Group’s Schelling

FXStreet (Mumbai) - Euro Group’s Hans Joerg Schelling said today that it's less likely Greece will accidentally leave the 19-nation bloc, however, if a kind of orderly withdrawal becomes a reality a discussion will be needed about its concrete implementation.

The statement from the Austrian finance chief comes as Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras visits Russia with the aim of strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Key Quotes:

"All have realized, also Greece, that an accident represents the biggest possible problem. If there was a kind of orderly withdrawal, then one could discuss how to do that,"

"Of course I see the problem that time is running out, that the amount of money needed is really very considerable."
