Australia: ANZ Roy Morgan weekly consumer confidence hits lowest level in almost eight months

FXStreet (Bali) - The ANZ Roy Morgan Weekly Consumer Confidence, for the week ended April 5, came at 109.7 vs 112.3, lowest level in over eight months.

According to ANZ chief economist Warren Hogan, the key is to see whether or not strong gains in asset prices can offset a softer labour sector in Australia. "In our view, these conflicting forces suggest the road for confidence and retail over the next year may be bumpy," Hogan said.
